Need work shoes for dresses

I have just ordered these two dresses for work, but need shoes. They are styles in catalogue with bare feet or dainty ballet flats. Help please!

In red

In navy

Dress code is smart casual, I am chunky of leg and look ridiculous in dainty shoes. Feet are v wide, size 8. I don't really wear heels, but could cope with a smallish one.

I spend winter in chunky DM fashion (no work) boots and free time in Converse shoes. After a year mat leave, a year in mat clothes and converse (I argued tHat flat lace ups were most comfy for work when 7-8 months pg 2 summers ago) and a year working at home, I have completely forgotten what I used to wear to work in the summer, particulalry on my feet.

Lovely dresses! Very tempted myself!

I have the same issue with work shoes - I work in a corporate environment so shoes are always tricky in the summer as can't wear anything to sandal-y ifyswim.

What about wedges? I'm not normally a huge fan but you get the height without too much discomfort like here

or how about these has been a likes?

brown wedges have good reviews from wide big footed gals

I bought a fab pair by a spanish brand called Sixty Seven, unforch the site is crap and I can't post a link. They are very like these but in a coral colour.

They have been a brilliant buy - low enough heel to be comfy, but still a formal shape, and I have worn them with jeans, they work both ways.

I can't wear ballet flats when I'm dressed up - I tend to 'slop' around in them and look very slovenly, whereas with these shoes I have a brisk, energetic vibe!! Schuh have a fair few mid-heel courts

Oh no! Just went to order the Autograph wedges Cyb linked to and they are sold out in brown. Not sure white is right. None in M&S near work either. Sob. They would have been perfick!

How about closed toe?

Or sandals?

Red

Wedgie sandals every time. Like you, I don't do "shoes", just boots in winter and sandals in summer. I also have quite chunky feet and wedge sandals are easy and comfortable. Perfect for smart-cas office.

MRsDepp - examples please! Anything that you bought recently?

Well a single pair of the Autograph came back in stock on the website but a size too small. Ordered them just in case, and sadly sent them back. After much searching and bloodymindedness, and many other shoes being sent back, I have now got these. They are fab, big and wide enough (in a 9, but NineWest do 9s), comfy, the hell is sturdy and the leather is very soft. Have also got my new dresses, which are fab. No longer the office scruff bag!
