Where to get a haircut in London?

Hi, I'm in need of a haircut and would appreciate suggestions of where to go in London. Can't afford anything too pricey. Thought of going for the free Toni & Guy student practice session, but heard bad things about that, so chickened out.

Anyone know of any good deals around?

TIA!

Go to the Vidal Sassoon school in Bond Street- have had some great cuts and colours done there. Heavily supervised students, and they cut 'with' the hair, rather than forcing it into a style IYSWIM.

You'll be there for ages, but it's worth it. Take a morning off

Thanks for the tip. Never heard of them before but your feedback seems positive enough, especially the "heavily supervised" bit and the fact that they don't try and push a haircut style onto you.

Once again, thanks!

I get mine done at Beaucatchers in Stoke Newington. Was £38 for cut n blow dry I think. Very, very good hairdressers (I have a slight phobia ).

But have always wanted to do the student Vidal Sassoon thing!
