Chanel used to do the perfect matte red in the 80s think it was called rouge extreme... they probably dont do it any more but I loved it so much! Sorry no help whatsoever

Just checked my lipstick makeup bag though, Mac Russian Red is what you need

revlon do a good range of matt lippies including a red and a pink

they are really good. and long lasting.

MAC Ruby Woo (matte finish pin up girl red). Does not budge, but make sure you put lots of lipbalm on before as can be slightly drying.

MAC Girl About Town is lovely hot pink in a more moisturising finish

Try Poppy King Lipstick Queen - pricey but utterly gorgeous, lots of funky colours but with a cool, 1940's glamour finish.

You can buy it at Space NK, not sure where else.

NARS Fire Down Below is a lovely deep true red that stays put.

NARS Afghan Red for a matt pink.
