Can anyone please recommend some large hair tongs that actually work. I am looking to create big curls/ waves but have really think corse hair so need really high heat or something to make hair hold the curls longer than 10 mins!

Hi, I don't have coarse hair, instead it's quite fine and has never held a curl, until I tried the Babyliss Curl and Press. You wind your hair around and press a lever that kind of squeezes the curls and makes them last ages, even after sleeping on it, my hair was still wavy. It does take a long time to do your whole head, but it is the only tong I've ever tried that makes curls that last. I think it comes in 2 sizes www.amazon.co.uk/BaByliss-3030053323303-2330CU-Curl-Press/dp/B0002Q9FYY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=drugsto re&qid=1275393831&sr=8-2 , never done a link before , so hopefully that will work!

The Babyliss curling wand is like a dream come true. Watch your ears though.

The GHD wide straightener is great for curls. They're about £100 but really worth it.

I actually have the GHD wide straightners. How do you make curls with them???
