Anyone had a mini face-lift ?

I am 48 nearly 49 and think it would give me the a little lift....don't want to look 20 but maybe a little refreshed. Any advice,anyone had one or considering having one too!

No but I have started microdermabrasion.
Definitely got a sheen to my skin!

I've had 2 and it's quite weird, not painful but your skin is sanded with crystals.
I can definitely see a difference- pores look cleaner and not as obvious- we'll wait and see how it affects the lines.

my friend had a peel a full on proper peel and her skin was of course burned to a crisp
the new skin was amazing though....
never thought that i'd ever ever consider but it is completely amazing
she's mid 40's

you can get gentle peels far cheaper of course but this was one of the full on sort

Microdermabrasion is a course of 8 over a 20 week period- £395.
Not invasive- your face doesn't look as if it's had the top layer removed.

Apparently they can do a chemical peel and mini face lift together! don't know if it would be to much not financially but I dont want to look like I've been caught in a strong wind!

do you have to have a general anaesthetic for a peel?

A friend of mine (honestly) recently had botox. Not the Katie Price/frozen surprised look form of botox - but a very natural, gentle approach. She looks like she has just returned from a lovely spa break and she can still move her forehead

I've had botox and I looked like I'd returned from holiday
I could use my eyebrows and forehead but it softened my frown lines

As far as I can tell it pays to get a cosmetic surgeon to do the botox rather than someone who has just done a quick course

I've had three lots of botox and two lots of dermal fillers. They are fab. I know they get alot of bad press about looking frozen, but if it's done well that's not the case. You don't even look younger, just fresher and brighter. Anyway, even frozen is preferable to looking like a tired bloodhound! Mine have all worn off months ago now, but I'm trying to resist the urge to go back. I'm frightened of getting to the point where I can't cope without it, and being caught in the financial trap of not being able to stop.

I look like shit though, frankly.

I've recently lost weight which has made my face collapse. My MIL commented on it and said I should be careful not to lose too much as it was affecting my face, but I think it's just that she last few times she's seen me I've had a little help in face department!

I'd love a mini facelift.
