Hair advice please!!!

I have a chin length bob and in an effort to grow it have had some layers put in so it's a bit choppier/messy which I like.
My hair is thick and poker straight.
What bouffy product can I use to give it more umph- I don't like what the hairdresser used (aveda)- not strong enough for my hair.
Also what could I use to give it some curl/something different to ring the changes?

The hairdresser tried the mousse on my hair the other day and scrunch dried it, which gave it a lot more volume.
