Is this a good look? Anyone seen any nice ones?

It depends on the leg length.... just below the knee looks good, mid-calf not so flattering.

My problem is finding ones which are long enough. I actually think ones just below the knee look worse - on me anyway - my ideal would be 3-4 inches above the ankle where my leg starts to narrow again

I got some nice ones from New Look dark denim £15. I think they are quite slimming and are just above the ankle.

Is it just me who looks fat and short-legged in just-above-ankle ones?

I think because I have long legs just above the ankle looks better on me than just below the knee.... Tried on some Autograph 7/8 length ones today and the length and style were just what I wanted but unfortunately they didn't fit properly at the thigh/hip area (the legs were too narrow at that part so didn't pull up properly so the crotch seemed to be a few inches lower than it should have been!)
