Please help me find a dress to wear to a wedding

My best friend is getting married at the end of June. It is likely to be warm and there will be people there I don't get to see very often, so I would like to look good.

I lost weight after having my DS 9 months ago - I was size 10-12 before getting pregnant, now I am 8-10. This unfortunately means that I haven't been able to find my boobs anywhere for a while now. On the plus side, my legs and bum look better than before. Overall, I really don't feel happy with my body at the moment, so it would be lovely to find a dress in which I would feel attractive for a change.

OK. I am 5'9, size 8-10, dark hair and dark eyes. I can't wear anything low cut as this would show my boney cleavage, so need something flattering in a different way.

Please help!

S&B regulars must be bored to tears with me as I am always recommending this dress. here in red and blue and here in black I have 2, although I do not have the lifestyle to match, so I sometimes wear them to the park with dc dressed down with glads and cardigan!

It is beautiful on, lovely fabric and looks much more expensive than it really is. The draping will disguise your lack of boobs and your height will make you look willowy in it. You MUST try it, especially as it is reduced at the moment.

You sound gorgeous btw, at 6" taller than me I am v

Verity, this dress is lovely. But they only have the blue one and the red one in size 6! do you fancy selling one of yours?

You must look very glam wearing it to the park, I love the idea

I have red and oyster. Tbh the sizing is generous so you would probably be ok with a 6. Order it quick before it's gone!

Otherwise, I'm happy to lend you mine, it needs a more glamorous outing than the park

The red is slightly a lovely pinky, cranberry shade

tethersend · 28/05/2010 22:27

I have to agree, have recommended that dress myself- I don't have it, but it is absolutely gorgeous.

VerityBrulee · 28/05/2010 22:43

I'm not sure what I meant to say there It's a lovely colour anyway!

Tethersend, it's reduced, go on!

tethersend · 28/05/2010 22:56

gah.

My heart says yes, but my arms say no.

tethersend · 28/05/2010 22:56

I have very similar with sleeves, though

VerityBrulee · 28/05/2010 23:03

Ah, you don't need it so

duende · 29/05/2010 09:34

I really don't think I'd fit into a 6. (and if I did, I'd go on a haagen dazs diet for a week!) I am between 8 and 10.

any other suggestions?

(and thank you for your very kind offer to lend me yours but I'd probably just stand in a corner all night and not eat or drink to make sure it didn't get stained/ damaged!)
