OMG tried this dress and REALLY want it now

this one

Wish I hadn't tried it on now as I really really want it now - normally not my kind of shape dress but is sooo flattering.

DH's best friend is getting married in Oct - would it be suitable for that? Could I wear it with black opaque tights then (hate veins on backs of legs!)

OOOO likey a lot!

Dunno about black opaques though, how about nudeish, thick ones (but not american tan)

Think black might be a bit harsh, but then I'm a bit frumpie

Maybe navy ones then? Could try v.sheer nude tights, but being asian I find it really hard finding a pair that match my skin tone.... my 2 pregnancies have given me stretchmarks and varicose veins on the backs of my calves/knees....

I think it would look good with black opaques

I also think it would look good with black opaques. I feel your pain with the varicose veins. I have them too (really badly!) and there were no kiddies involved for me!

The dress is lovely

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 28/05/2010 18:14

Thick tans. It could work with black tights if you have strongly coloured heels. But you can get skincoloured tights that hide everything.

MooMinCow · 28/05/2010 19:48

What colour heels would you wear? I would have gone for bronze/gold heels or have a black patent pair....

ameliameerkat - I wouldn't mind my varicose veins but I don't think my legs aren't that badly shaped so seems a shame to cover them up all the time!

LOVELY frock

I have a Ted Baker frock and they are great. TKMaxx sometimes has his stuff, a bit less ££

Will look beautiful with a darker skin tone too.
