Please help a complete fool sort some holiday clothes out!

So I've got the DCs sorted. And forgotten myself!

Haven't been on holiday for years and years, so have nothing already other than vest tops, because I hate getting my body out but have just ordered a swimsuit. Oh have shoes too.

We're going to Ibiza for a week, just me and DD (11) and DS (3) so no posh dinners out or anything, but we will be going out in the evenings a couple of times.

Help please, what do I need?!

And just to make it even trickier, I've only left myself £100, is that do-able?

Grateful for any help/advice/slaps round the face for being a big flapping chicken!

Hi. You will need very little is the good news! You have your vest tops already - just get the following - for holiday wear you really cant go wrong with Primark, especially if you're watching your money!

A pair of shorts/skirt for out and about.

2 light summer dresses - Try Primark for some fab lightweight sun dresses, cheap as chips! Saw some great cotton sun dresses with spaghetti straps for £6 which you cant go wrong with in pink/greeen/purple/turquoise

A maxi dress if you like them

A sarong and a spare bikini

Maybe a pair of linen trousers and a floaty top, again good for any nights out you may have

Sandals (nice mock galdiator type ones also in Primark) and flip flops for the beach

Remember you will need very little for a 1 week holiday and will tend to stick with the clothes you're most comfortable in so theres no need to buy a lot! I hope this helps - and have a great holiday!

Brilliant, thankyou for that! I'll pop to Primark soon. All seems more manageable written down

New Look have a vast array of gladiator type sandals - some leathery and some more glittery. Can't remember the price - but I guess can't be too much ££. Have a look on their web site. They've got some nice summery stuff too.

I usually end up wearing different tops with linen combats I have.

If you are going early enough in the season - I still wear jeans at night - it's not THAT warm in June.

Oh and don't forget ebay.

blackflyinyourchardonnay · 28/05/2010 18:14

Thanks TracyK, was wondering if I'd have use for my jeans- feel more like me in them!

All the locals wear their jeans and leather jackets in anything less than 30 degrees!

Just take a nice halterneck top or a summer scarf with a bit of glitter in it to dress it up.

blackflyinyourchardonnay · 28/05/2010 18:37

Ah, scarf good idea

Oh do keep some money and suitcase space to buy yourself and wee ones something in Ibiza. They have clothes to die for but avoid the boutiques and buy copies in the market.

Thanks Granny23
