can you wear shorts with tights if you are over 35ish?

I found some shorts I have never worn and am too scared to wear them with bare legs, so are tights OK, with wellies and long jumper?

have recently given up biscuits and only lost about 3 lb but it helps feel more confident.

Wellies make the look imo, without them there is too much of a taper to ankles, thighs therefore look chubbier

but you cant wear wellies to the shops in the middle of summer can you? Wear some wedges with them, something quite chunky to balance you. You look tall and skinny.

well I wont let you wear tights and shorts out then. My teenage dd can just about get away with that

You look very nice with the tights (as do your chickens and child) I would go with leggings but then it is still cold here.

Bare legs would work for you I think.

You will look mad on a hot day in shorts/tights/wellies combo.

If you don't want to do bare legs then save them for winter with tights and biker style boots.

it's been raining all night and day, but when it gets hot I will ditch the shorts and put trousers back on I think. Tights would be ridiculous in hot weather.

Chocpants, no, I thought the combo looked quite nice but I can't tell if my sense of proportion is in or out, have had loads of feeling v large days recently, and scared to wear anything...so it was genuine question.

I wore this to school pick up and was worried because people glanced at my legs, having never seen them and I thought Oh holy cow I have done something stupid.

I was just after reassurance it didn't look dire/muttonish iyswim. Relieved!

the mirror is a bit slimming. If I am completely honest.

Sometimes it makes my face look about 12 inches long. So legs may differ slightly from illustration

5ft 6 and 3/4

and usually 10 or 12. But it's crept up since Christmas and stopped the biscuit thing about a month ago, as it was getting out of hand, couldn't get into anything any more etc. I hate it when that happens, have had biscuit problem in the past too.

There was a thread on here about carbs and I realised chocolate never makes me put on weight so have swapped biscuits for choc and it seems to be working OK.

Though the caffeine makes me paranoid and a bit mad.

enough already, you have a fabulous figure, milk it (but lose the tights/wellies)!
