Hi All,

After changing my mind about fifty million times and returning four dresses, I have finally bought one for a june wedding. See here www.wallis.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=20551& storeId=12557&categoryId=202623&parentcategoryrn=180055&productId=1675081&langId=-1
I have bought these shoes to go with it
www.clarks.co.uk/find/product-is-20340949
Now, I haven't a clue where to begin with the necklace, bag, bracelet and earrings. Please guide me as I love the dress and don't want to ruin it with badly chosen accessories!
PS. I have a simple short cream shrug already to go with it.

No useful advice but what a GORGEOUS dress!

ticktockclock · 27/05/2010 12:22

The dress has lots of pattern going on so a necklace with it would be a big no-no. I would choose accesories in gold.

A bracelet like this

Earring like this

and a bag like this

mermaidgirl · 27/05/2010 12:24

I'm a fan of big earrings

these are nice

or these

Love the dress by the way!

ticktockclock · 27/05/2010 12:25

Or a bag like this

mermaidgirl · 27/05/2010 12:28

I also wouldn't put a necklace on. You need a nice chunky bracelet

like this

or this

ticktockclock · 27/05/2010 12:28

Or a bag like this

ticktockclock · 27/05/2010 12:33

A couple of these stacked

mermaidgirl · 27/05/2010 12:46

bargain clutch bag

how about this?

blossomx · 27/05/2010 12:48

the link above, Ted Baker bag would go fantastic, good choice ticktockclock!

I really wouldn't go for a necklace, it will look too much. But I would go for wooden effect jewellery, so chunky bracelets, and some lovely earrings, I would personally choose studs as you have such a wonderful dress, and are goin to accessorise with chunky bracelets! Try Primark for wooden effect bracelets!

Or. . .

these bracelets are lovely as they have the colours of your dress in them

these earrings are a gorgeous colour and will match your dress perfect

good luck

AngryPixie · 27/05/2010 12:57

Love the dress and the bracelet/earring idea are great.

But the shoes????

AngryPixie · 27/05/2010 13:02

I know this alone is not helpful, am having a skulk around to see what I can see

blossomx · 27/05/2010 13:16

Yeah, I do have to agree with the AngryPixie, they are nice, they do look comfy. But how about some nice sandals instead? I found these but I'm sure there are lots more out there

Finn77 · 27/05/2010 13:37

Wow, what a response, thanks...just going through the links to see all the suggestions. I think you are probably right about no necklace...there is a lot going on with the pattern.
Tell me more about why not the shoes and what else instead...my poor hoofs aren't in the best condition, so I thought the peep toes was a compromise. Also need a bit of a heel to keep the dress from sweeping the ground. Not too high though as I am already 5'10"!!

Didn't like the Clarks shoes a lot!

how about these?

or these in gold

AngryPixie · 27/05/2010 13:57

not in love with these but they are comfy clarks again

ticktockclock · 27/05/2010 14:08

I have to agree with the others about the shoes. The dress is beautiful and glam but the shoes are more casual to wear with a summery skirt rather than this lovely dress.

Stick with a wedge or cone heal for comfort and treat yourself to a nice pedicure about a week before the wedding.

Finn77 · 27/05/2010 14:49

Ok...I get the shoes thing..I can still return them and get a refund. last question..I like these, but again are they too casual. The heel can't be any higher than this you see.

Thanks again for all the advice!

Again too casual me thinks.

ticktockclock · 27/05/2010 14:57

How about something like these

Sweeedes · 27/05/2010 15:37

That dress is gorgeous. Shame it's a maxi.

Finn77 · 27/05/2010 15:57

Sweeedes, it also comes in a short version...unfortunately it would just look like a long top on me, but of your ar 5'6 or under, perfect!
