Would bronze toenails be vile?

I have it in my head that I want to paint my toenails really dark bronze (NOT brown), I am currently into v.dark purple. First off must find said colour.

DH says bronze toenails = old lady

Hmm, opinions?

I know pastel colours are in but I was all about that last year so dark colours this year.

I think it depends on your colouring and how attractive your feet are! I was once advised to wear pale nail varnish if feet were less than ideal and I tend to agree - dark colours don't look good on my toes - tend to draw attention to them!

I do have a pinky bronze colour I got last year which is ok....

Oh no, totally fab! Make sure they're really shimmery, though.

I had a friend who always painted her toes in stunning metallic colours - blue, gold, pink, bronze, copper, green, they always looked wonderful. White, silver and yellow were not so good.

I think bronze will be ok. I want to have my toenails 'minxed' but cant find a nearby salon to do it.

I have really pale skin but my feet are pretty nice I guess, not wrinkly or gnarly just wide.

I was looking at the no.7 Spun Sugar actually, is it dark when it goes on?

It isn't too dark. Maybe it wouldn't be dark enough as I see you want a dark brown. It is nice and metallic though.
I just googled minxed toes and it is fake nails with designs on them.

The one I have us Rimmel Euphoria from the 60 seconds range but it's possibly not dark enough for you...

I think Chanel were doing a bronzey-fawn colour. So must be the new coral

Love bronze, really nice for summer. Goes with anything.

btw, tell your dh I don't think old ladies put any nail varnish on their toes, do they?
