Sunglasses - can someone educate me?

I need your expert advice, please. I need a pair of everything-proof sunglasses - by which I mean they stay on when I bend down, and the tolerate being pushed up on my head when I go inside (yes, I know you shouldn't do that, but I do and I can't see my breaking the habit) and won't be detroyed by being dropped once or twice. I have a pair of Bulgari wrap-around ones which, whilst beautiful and desirable and all that are entirely useless for anything other than sitting still as they fall off too easily (and they can't be adjusted). Since it is nearly my birthday, I thought I might as well add a decent pair to my wish list rather than ending up buying myself cheap and nasty ones in desperation...

All suggestions welcome - what brand(s) should I be looking at?

the oakley ones are quite nice, i don;t like the bulgari ones sorry.

No, that's fine, Mainegirl - Thank you for the opinion. That (or possibly "OMG they are hideous what are you thinking?") is exactly what I need before I commit some unknowing crime against fashion and everyone proceeds to laugh at me behind my back.

So Oakley ones OK, you think?

I do rather like these Tom Ford ones but they are even more expensive than the Oakleys.

I don't think he'd be much use to you if you did ! None of us would be his cup of tea!

stealthsquiggle · 24/05/2010 18:55

true, but he's very decorative, nonetheless

he'd also be v useful for style advice stealth - you wouldn't need to post on this topic board anymore...yep, I'm definitely liking the idea of my own Tom Ford at home!

stealthsquiggle · 25/05/2010 08:13

You know what - you can have him! I don't think I could live with that much dictatorial advice - hence my caution in venturing in to S&B at all
