OP posts:
Coderooo · 23/05/2010 17:59

oh i like them on the youngesters bib

BelleDameSansMerci · 23/05/2010 18:11

My hairdresser-stylist wears some black leather ones not dissimilar from these. She looks great in them. She, however, is 25 and I am nearly 45. It's not a look I'll be going for!

I like them though

cyb · 23/05/2010 18:13

vile

LostArtofKeepingASecret · 23/05/2010 18:14

I s'pose they do cover cracked heels.

scratchmyback · 23/05/2010 18:31

i saw someone in some like this today only they were dark brown suede.....she really didnt carry them off well with her denim skirt!

AtlantisLegoDuplicates · 23/05/2010 18:31

office is a bastion of evil footwear.

Ronaldinhio · 23/05/2010 19:46

I like them too but not for me...

Fayrazzled · 23/05/2010 19:48

Tis fashion innit. Would be good on a young nymph with amazing legs. Less good on middle aged fatty with cankles (moi).

bibbitybobbityhat · 23/05/2010 19:50

But WHY?

Why do you like them?

What is there to like???

Its like liking oysters or Pinter or having your eyebrows threaded. No one really likes these things.

OP posts:
Ronaldinhio · 23/05/2010 19:53

I tried some on t'other day but marked it down to a senior moment
i've seen some of the natural ones being worn v successfully imo

fishie · 23/05/2010 19:56

i like them lots. but i am a fan of something on the ankle, always yearn for legwarmers.

i used to wear hiking socks with leggings and winklepicker boots.

janeite · 23/05/2010 20:39

They are hideous.

HellBent · 23/05/2010 20:45

Those aren't too bad, but as others have said, def for the long legged youngsters!

Also, how could you have missed these lovely things? here

blinks · 23/05/2010 21:00

nowt better than a leg warmer upper.

WilfShelf · 23/05/2010 21:02

rofl at oysters/Pinter/threading: you daft ponce...

bibbitybobbityhat · 23/05/2010 21:24

Yeah but daft ponce in proper clarks sandals. You know the ones, funny concept, ankle and heel NOT wrapped up.

Don't know how I missed those others HellBent. Possibly because I didn't click on "half sandal half boot, footwear that makes you look stupid" on the menu.

OP posts:
WilfShelf · 23/05/2010 22:07

Oh I agree. I have taken a mockery from cornsilk about my clarks wedges. Half of my students do those kind of shoes with the hair that moondog was complaining about and I thank my lucky stars I'm old enough to be dressed in neutrals.

oneofsuesylvesterscheerios · 23/05/2010 22:10

oh sweet jesus, that 2nd link

how in gods name can they be described as 'sandals'? they are the FUGLIEST things i have ever seen

they've actually made me lol

tethersend · 23/05/2010 22:18

Brace yourself

SixtyFootDoll · 23/05/2010 22:20

tether that was uncalled for.
I am going to bed shortly and will have sartorial nightmares!

tethersend · 23/05/2010 22:23

Sorry Sixty. They rather warrant their own thread, don't they?

drloves · 23/05/2010 22:33

tethersend - thats gold shoe/sandal overkill...strangely i want them.

treedelivery · 23/05/2010 22:36

Hells Teeth!

The 2nd pair are worst, hate the 1st. The 3rd remind me of 70's nights at uni

Meglet · 24/05/2010 07:55

I knew this thread would be about those shoes before I even clicked on the links.

Bonsoir · 24/05/2010 08:17

Oh bibbity don't be such an old fogey
