Best swim suit for holding my tum in...

GoldenSnitch · 23/05/2010 08:26

I've got 9 weeks left till holiday now. I'm dieting and exercising as much as breastfeeding will allow but the weight is just not shifting as fast as I'd hoped. I didn't 'pop' back into shape after DS and 5 months after DD's birth, I think it's safe to say I'm not going to 'pop' back this time either

So I'm giving up on the tankini idea (no one wants to seem my stretch marks rolling out of the gap between the top and the shorts!) and want to buy a swim suit to pull my tummy in on the beach. I'm so desperate not to look like a beached whale, I'm even willing to spend a fair amount on one...

Can anyone recommend a good one?

I'm still going to be breastfeeding so I was thinking maybe a halterneck to aid access? Might even buy some cheap feeding bras so I can pinch the clips and alter the suit?

Thanks

I found this excellent and the cheapest control one I found!

If your breastfeeding they do a non-underwired version too

here, but have not tried this, it has a 5 star customer rating though

Oooh, loving the tummjy disguising drapery over the tummy on that second one!

Not sure whether underwires would be better though to try and hoist my boobs back up to a reasonable height

Yes, I never went with the 'no-underwire' thing.

The one I have is really good, its like a bra, its got the bra strap seperatly round your back and then you pull the costume up to cover it.

Hold tummy in really well too.

If you look they ahve lots more control wear on there and its alot cheaper than most places.

Just seen the second one in the black and white print! Just tried to order but it's out of stock. Requested an e-mail if/when it comes back in stock so fingers crossed...

Will have a look at the other bits after my run.

Thanks Dis

I've got quite a large chest so underwires are always good even when feeding.

Thanks for this I need a new "beach" swimsuit and I've been struggling, I need one with a proper bra in it since by boobs went south. The first one in red looks lovely.

Has anyone tried the Speedo ones?

In this months Good Housekeeping Magazine they did a product test on swimsuits with tummy control. They all scored pretty well.

M&S do one, and the speedo ones are good as they come in different sizing depending on whether you have large boobs, large tum or whatever bit you need help with.

Sorry, cant post link and I have given the mag to a friend.

I'll see if I can find it online or pick up a copy. Thanks Jax
