Summer dresses. HELP!

Okay . . .

Summer 2008 - I was heavily pregnant with DD3 so wearing Maternity clothes.

Summer 2009 - Was a Size 6/8 due to illness.

Summer 2010 - I'm back to a size 10 now that I'm well and healthy again which is great but nothing I have fits me!

Ideally I would like:

summer dresses to wear at weekends when out with the DCs.

some dresses that are a bit smarter for work

and also are those "city shorts" still acceptable? If so I wouldn't mind some of those.

I have about £250 - £300 to spend.

My DC have a lot to answer for, leaving me so clueless!

I have not found any summer dreses I like this year!

They are either too garish ( Monsoon style) too young ( halter neck and totally sleeveless), too dressy (Coast and LK Bennett) or too frumpy (Boden.)

I have sent for a linen one from The White Company which IS sleeveless but might be okay when it's very hot.

JIgsaw have a few that I quite like but they are either a bot too tent-like/maternity style of very £££.

Whtei Stuff have some that are okay-ish but don't I suit big prints due to being petite.

Yes Matalan does some nice stuff sometimes and they are reasonably priced. It is even better now that they are online.
