Some ideas for wedding/party outfit that I can feed wriggly ds in?

Am too sleep deprivedto think straight, so am asking for your help.
We have a civil partnership to go to in June, and then my mum's 70th in July. Will still be feeding ds a bit, esp if he gets fractious. He's a nosy and wriggly wee bugger, so the elegantly draped cloth is a no go, nor do I think that pulling down top of dress is going to work. So I need a top/skirt, maybe trousers combo, I think.

Am 5'4, prefer to cover legs a bit, at least, red haired and fair-skinned. Would like something I can (ceilidh) dance in.

Budget not huge, but would be happy to find something from ebay, if anyone has good beady eyes for a bargain. Thank you!

I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and a cardie like this was a godsend so I could pull down the top of my dress and feed - could this work for you as it would not be so flappy or need to be elegantly draped? Would give you a lot more options as there's some lovely dresses around at the moment and not so many skirts, I found.

Hmm - could put it on, fasten and pull up? That's a good idea - thanks!

That's right so you have the top few buttons of the cardie done up. Worked really well.
