FitFlops in pregnancy - good, bad or indifferent?

I know there have been some threads on MN about FitFlops but I couldn't get to the bottom of them (so to speak!).
I'm normally a summer Birkenstock wearer and fancied something a bit different this year. As I am already pounding on the weight for this pregnancy I thought FitFlops might tick all the boxes. Any advice, please?

i'm not pregnant but carry my 4 month old in a sling still...just bought fitflops a couple of days ago and they are fine while carrying her in a sling, wondered if it might make me unstable but no. i also have ankle/heel feet problems and they are very comfy on the sole. i didn't buy them for the toning claims, think you would need to do alot of walking.

falling over could be a risk as they are designed to be unstable!

I wore the fitflops boots almost every day of my last pregnancy and swear they helped prevent back pain, hip pain, etc. that I had in my previous pregnancy. They are good for posture.

I wear them all the time. Got v sore feet on holiday walking in normal shoes.

Thank you, perhaps I should give them a go!
