Pre-emptive resoling...

Just bought a lovely pair of flats - but I hesitated over them because they're a bit flimsy and I'm hard on shoes. The sole is plastic. Can plastic be resoled and, if so, has anyone had this done in advance?

Just had a look at the Timpson website and if they can repair worn heels and soles then I don't see any reason why they couldn't use the same methods on new shoes to increase their life.

Amandoh - thanks for the link! Some amazingly beat-up shoes on there... Have a timpsons near work, so will go in and check.
