Sunsafe suits for kids - help!

monkeysmama · 17/05/2010 21:45

Dd is 2. I am taking her abroad on Sunday. She needs 2 sun safe suits. She has long legs. I want suits that cover her legs and arms. M&S no. Next no. JL have long ones but all sold out.

Can anyone help?

I'd prefer one without a character on but am happy to consider anything at this point.

Cheers in advance
MM

I always use lion in the sun and they have really good customer service - you could probably order one by phone and they would despatch tomorrow.

Thanks Dusty - are your LO's suits short on the leg? Is there a reason the majority of sun safe suits leave the bottom of the leg exposed?

Thanks again.

yes, because it's much more comfortable and easier to move in short legs

use suncream?

monkeysmama · 17/05/2010 22:22

I use sun cream too of course.

If they stopped at the knees/above the elbows I could see your point MrsBadger but I don't understand why not having an extra bit of material makes such a difference.

I got DD2 one in Mothercare last year. Think Boots do them too. Don't know if they are long legs though.
How about trying Ebay?

mememe30 · 17/05/2010 22:28

Pumpkin patch?????

Rindercella · 17/05/2010 22:33

Jojo?

Doesn't look like they have any which go down to the ankles, but I don't think I have ever seen any that do tbh.

monkeysmama · 17/05/2010 22:34

Mothercare all stop just below knee/elbow.

Pumpkin Patch I didn't think of and Tortoise you've reminded me to look at Boots again. Thanks both.

Hi mm
have not seen full legs even in Oz where people tell you off for having a child without a sunsuit. You could get wetsuit bottoms but they will be hot and £££. I suspect mrs b is right and also it is easier to sunscreen the legs up then the whole body. This Boden one has long shorts: www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Girls-Swimwear/36060/Girls-Logo-Surf-Suit.html

Just checked out jl as intrigued by full length legs. Might it be deceptive pic? I think it may be a knee length all in one.

jamaisjedors · 18/05/2010 14:42

these are to the knee and elbow

v good customer service - v fast delivery.
