travel outfit

I am going away with the girls for a few days soon and I need to plan a capsule wardrobe. First I need a travel outfit.

We are travelling in the afternoon so I need a comfy outfit that I can glam up to go out for dinner on arrival. As it's hand luggage only I also need to wear my heavies items really and a jacket which will go with EVERYTHING while I'm away!

I was thinking jeans, t-shirt, jacket type thing (blazer of denim?!?!?) but only because some of the other girls have mentioned wearing jeans as they are heavy. Thing is I'm not sure I'll wear them once we're out there as I'm hoping it will be far too hot!

Can you help me?

wear leggings/jeggings and a long top or dress if you don't think you'll wear the jeans once you are there.

Wear whatever jacket you already own, and/or a cardigan.

Going in Europe somewhere hot. Will be mostly sitting by the pool and going out for dinners / drinks.

Hmm I could do jeggings instead of leggings but I'm not sure either go with a height of summer wardrobe?!?!?! I'll have to think about that and maybe scope around for some pictures and ideas.

What about a jersey maxi dress. You could wear casual shoes and a cardi on the flight but them glam it up with sparkly sandals and jewelry when you get there.

yes i am toying with the idea of a maxi, I can put leggings under it if it's a bit cold here. Hmm just don't want to look to over dressed - I think some of the other girls are going jeans and trainers.

So what if they are underdressed. Besides you should always look a bit glam when getting on a plane. You never know when you might get an upgrade. People who are underdressed do not get upgrades.
