what do you wear for dinner?

following the what do you wear theme...what does anyone wear when they go out to a restaurant? I struggle with this one - I can do jeans for playgroup, I can do skirt and cardi courtesy of Jigsaw for work, I can do smart dress for weddings and I can even manage black tie if I have to, but dinner at a smart restaurant gets me stumped every time. Anything smart ends up feeling middle-aged (you know the type, there's usually some glitter on them somewhere and their husbands wear chinos and smart shirts and always pay the bill) And I'm going to one this w/e. (me and about 40 others...). Inspire me.

the jigsaw stuff sounds nice, try adding a bit of jewellery

nice wrap dress, skirt with nice cardi and boots, wide leg trouses and wrap top?

a nice top and black trousers always looks nice

Black and chic

Depends. If it were winter, I'd wear one of my NEXT trousers suits with a silk blouse and low-key accessories. And close-toed heels.

Summer - the Jigsaw ensemble.
