I am 5ft 8 and I have never worn leggings before, but if I found a pair long enough what shoes do you wear?

Pumps
Uggs
Sandals
Flip flops

I'm 5'9 and sainsburys were doing an ankle length pair for either £6 or £10, I can't remember which, and they are actually long enough, amazing.

Lilyloo · 14/05/2010 21:13

cyb · 14/05/2010 21:14

I wear

high black wedges from Marks

silver / gold glads

...are you talking ankle length?

jollydiane · 14/05/2010 21:16

jollydiane · 14/05/2010 21:19

Have avoided legging so ar because of shoe issue. The question is does it have to be bare tootsies. Feet always cold. Any suggestions apart from Uggs

cyb · 14/05/2010 21:43

yes the cage ones would work

Elgoogreven · 14/05/2010 21:45

are high top trainers sneakers ok?

thelunar66 · 14/05/2010 21:50

Depends what you are wearing on top, but a good pair of wedges (gold) looks fab this season with black leggings (even better with leggings that stop just below the knee).

stressheaderic · 14/05/2010 21:54

I'm only 5 ft 6 but always buy leggings from the Tall section if there is one, as I cant stand that half-mast look, nor having the wind whipping round my ankles.
Ballet pumps, Uggs and gladiators her. Never trainers, except maybe Converse.

becklespeckle · 14/05/2010 22:00

I am only 5'3" but have quite long legs - Next's tall range leggings are a great length and reach right to my ankle. I wear flat ballet pump style shoes with mine and long boots in the colder weather. I can't do them with flip flops though, my feet are too big

tulpe · 14/05/2010 22:04

Flat sandals
wedges
heeled mary-janes
regular heels
ballet pumps
flip flops (the leather rather than beach type)

Jamieandhismagictorch · 15/05/2010 06:12

I've got some lovely Fit Flops (flip flops that tone your bum - allegedly) in a sequined pewter colour - also come in silver and bronze

Converse can look OK

I have never found ballet pumps that are comfy

Jamieandhismagictorch · 15/05/2010 06:14

Fit Flops - got mine from John Lewis

Jamieandhismagictorch · 15/05/2010 06:17

BTW - pretendy Converse: £8 at Sainsburys. More comfy than the real thing!

WannabeMakeUpArtist · 15/05/2010 08:33

Ballet pumps
Heels if going out
Wedges

PLEASE no fit flops. they are the fugliest footwear ever. So orthopaedic

Jamieandhismagictorch · 15/05/2010 09:23

cyb - How very dare you! You won't be saying that when I have an arse like Cindy Crawford's
