I really need help... this is what happened last night...

I have dark brown hair...

Put hight lighting bleach on... only does my roots...

DH goes out and gets another 2, he covers the areas that are still brown and it all goes blondeish.

Light enough for me to put the colour over.

But it didn't take.

The colour on the box was a very bright red, on the back it said blonde ---> bright red.

But it didn't take, it sort of sat on the surface and went on a tiny bit

so now I have blondey-gingery-hair, like when a student dyes it pink then leaves it to wash ou.

My question is. I've left it over night now.

If I put another red on will it take today?

Is there anything I can do to make it take better?

lovely you're hairdresser did a good job I'm a hairstylist and colourist and would've done similar. Did they advise on homecare as red washes out quicker than other shades?

Disenchanted3 · 13/05/2010 16:16

Yes, she said not to wash it for a while and that it would fade quicker because I bleached it, but to go back in a month for a tint

If you use red hair shampoo and conditioner that should help lock it in a bit. Red colour molecules are small so come out of your cuticle quicker.

Really happy for you though it's good when you find a good hairdresser

Glad you got it sorted. How much was it in the end?

Disenchanted3 · 13/05/2010 19:35

£50 at salon, but £75 altogether with the home products

It could have been worse. At least the episode is over and you are happy with the outcome.

Disenchanted3 · 13/05/2010 19:42

Thankyou for pushing me to go to the Salon, I'm glad I did.
