Clarins beauty flash balm.

Two lip glosses (same/similar shade) - one for bathroom, other for baby bag.

Compact hairbrush with mirror - for baby bag.

Touche eclat

Really lovely hand cream; the type that no one minds if their new baby smells of it after being hugged! I used to hate the smell of perfumes etc on my babes. There are some fab ones in Waitrose at the moment and not stunningly expensive despite being organic and/or largely natural.

touche eclat- works under eyes, or laura mercier secret concealer
a nice moisturiser, something like beauty flash balm?
mascara- always makes everyone look so much better

spanx?? (ok sorry I'm evil)

ronx · 12/05/2010 15:56

Mock ye not about Spanx!

It took me ages to work out that the yards of thick black material I saw when new mums bent over were, in fact, their Spanx pants.

crumpette · 12/05/2010 16:11

OK spanx and breast pads, OP. She'll love you for it

champagnesupernova · 12/05/2010 18:52

Brilliant all
Have gone wiht useful but mildly dull handcream in handy pump dispenser.
She usually has gorge nails so hopefully it will be appreciated.
