Eek! Really feel for you!
Is it inverted at the back? If not clip in extensions?

deaddei · 11/05/2010 19:26

Wear lots of lipstick and be vivacious..
It will grow (oh I have been there)

cocolepew · 11/05/2010 19:27

It'll grow really quick. There's only 2 weeks between a bad and a good haircut.

cloelia · 11/05/2010 19:28

I agree with cocole but would say only 10 days ...

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 11/05/2010 20:01

ok, op was rushed due to ds.

its a graduated bob, very very short at the back and about jaw length at the front with a short (bit too short) fringe. when i came out i loved it but dh and mil were less than enthused about it and now im not sure.

I had the same thing happen in February same style as you, and with added complication that the back was noticeably shorter on one side than the other! Terrible how a bad haircut can reduce one to a sniveling teenager! I wore lots of eyeliner and had it re-cut (different salon) four weeks later and have left it alone since then. For a couple of months I took MSM a supplement I heard about desperately Googling "make hair grow faster." I think it did speed the growth a wee bit. Cocolepew and cloelia are right too -- give it 10 days/ 2 weeks and you will likely be much happier with it (certainly the fringe will have grown.)

Goober · 11/05/2010 20:20

You will like it better once you have washed and faffed with it a few times yourself.

mathanxiety · 11/05/2010 20:23

Use a lot of eye makeup, like Cupparooibos says, and lipstick, to draw attention to your face for a bit until it grows.

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 11/05/2010 20:25

thanks, ive had the same hairdo (longish bob) for so long now that its a bit of a shock.

Never ever rely on a dh or mil to give you good feedback on a haircut. That's what girlfriends are for!

MrsMeow · 12/05/2010 13:31

I've had this as well, I have the same style and my hairdresser always used to cut my fringe slightly too short. I now have a side fringe and ask her to leave it alone!!

Give it a re wash and style it again and it will look different. I reckon the fringe is what's throwing you the most - did you have one before?

Glad everyone seems to like it, apart from DH & MIL. At least you know who not to ask next time!
