What do you wear to a club when you're nearly 40?

I'm slightly regretting this now but have agreed to go out clubbing soon. I'm 39 in a couple of weeks and have not been near a club for about 5 years. I'm hoping you style ladies can help me!

I have a pair of black skinny jeans (pitch black cotton, not black denim) which I could wear with heals and a tunic top. What do you think?

Any ideas for tops/other potential outfits?

I'm so out of the fashion loop post dd, I feel really lacking in confidence. I'm tall, not overweight but thicker in the waist and much bigger boobs than before I had dd.

Any help at all will be much appreciated!

I think this would possibly cover a multitude of sins but not sure if the colour is OK with black trousers?

clubbing...as in do loads of pills and dance for 8 hours or as in "I will survive" clutching a bacardi breezer?

Very different needs

Oh yes, well something in between, I think. No pills for me these days, certainly. I will be clutching a gin and tonic.

As far as I understand it (and I'm not that sure that I do), it's a night of old school dance as well as current popular stuff, so according to my friend, there is a mixture of ages, although I imagine I'll be one of the oldest there (how depressing).

(The more I think about this, the less I understand why I agreed to it!)

The Ted Baker top is great, quite fancy it myself for an impending birthday do.
The Kamilah navy blue one is good too - though I like blue and black together as it's so wrong it's right.

Have you noticed that these days a high heel is at least 9/10cm!
I must be the only person who can't manage these.

I have some with a bit of a platform that I can just about walk in but I can't manage the skyscrapers, not for any length of time anyway.
