Did anyone else get the Cath Kidston bag that came free with Easy Living mag?

I'm being really cheeky here. I got the one with this print when I really wanted this one (DD chose it for me when she went to the shop with DH, bless her!) and wondered if anyone was the other way round and fancied a swap?

If not, then it's worth getting anyway! Mine is the above print, trimmed in pale blue and is a kind of oil cloth fabric. Big enough to fit loads of rubbish essentials in as well! Plus if you buy the mag, you get 15% off at Cath Kidston.

I want !!

BigBadMummy · 10/05/2010 18:45

I too have the same one as you. Would have been happy to swap but sadly it is the same

Tis fab though and was the only reason I bought the mag.

MrsMeow · 10/05/2010 18:45

It's a really nice bag, to be honest I'm just not over keen on the print - I much prefer her stars print or something like that.

Oh thanks anyway BBM! I think there may have been more of the one we have than the other one. My local supermarket had lots of them out today, but all in that same print!

helyg · 10/05/2010 18:47

I looked in 4 shops in town today for this magazine and they have all sold out!

Am going hunting again tomorrow.

(BTW I would prefer the other print too )

MrsMeow · 10/05/2010 18:54

I'm not surprised, just looked on ebay and some people are bloody flogging them on there!!

The other print is lovely isn't it? I have(had!) 4 of the mugs, one spotty, one with stars, one stripey and the other in that flower print, but I smashed the flower one! The other 3 look great hanging up in my kitchen though - they're my 'morning mugs' as they're big enough to ensure I get a good hit of caffeine

If I get one I will definatly swap. I will send DH out on a hunt, how much is the mag?

KittyTwoShoes · 10/05/2010 18:59

Ooh, I haven't got it (sorry), but is it still out? I want, I want! Though admit to being sulky and bitter that this comes the day after I spent £40 in Cath Kidston on a purse, make up bag and "travel document holder" for my holiday... waaah. Oh well, the purse is one of those clip top ones with nowhere for cards, so now there's 15% off, it would be absolutely vital to go and buy a matching card thingy, wouldn't it? I mean, it wouldn't do not to match. Right? Right??

MrsMeow · 10/05/2010 19:00

Oh thankyou, that's kind The mag is £3.50, it's actually quite a good read. I've bought it a few times before

MrsMeow · 10/05/2010 19:03

Kitty, it's the June issue, pretty sure it's only just hit the shelves in the last few days.

I hereby give you my blessing to go mad and buy what you want from CK You be MAD not to buy a matching card thingy, mad I tell you!

(what print?)

Haha, thanks MrsMeow! I mean, really, the Euro is failing and Parliament's in a right state. It's important for something to be in order around here, even it is just the contents of my handbag, right?

This is the make up bag: www.cathkidston.co.uk/p-14234-cath-kidston-provence-rose-cosmetic-bag.aspx

This is the travel document holder:
www.cathkidston.co.uk/p-14461-cath-kidston-bath-flowers-travel-wallet.aspx

This is the purse:
www.cathkidston.co.uk/p-14523-cath-kidston-clover-large-clasp-purse.aspx

(It says it's perfect for "coins and cards too" but it lies, it lies! Card holders are vital. Vital, I say!)

By the way, if I get the pattern you want in the bag, I'm happy to swap.

BusyMummy78 · 10/05/2010 19:39

I think I'll get a copy of the mag because I've seen a dress I like but it's £60 so discount would be rather handy.

I'm 31 do you think it's too frumpy? Seen it in their catalogue and looks better than on website. Thought I could wear it with a cropped cardi and also with leggings when weather is a bit chilly.

MrsMeow · 10/05/2010 19:47

Kitty, I like the way you think

I really like the print on the purse you bought. I've seen something similar very recently on a sheer blouse. I remember thinking it would look great with a black vest top underneath. Love the travel document holder as well

BusyMummy, that dress is actually quite nice! It wouldn't do anything for me, but I can imagine it looking lovely on a girly woman (like the one modelling it) It would look great with white capri pants and a white cropped cardi

BusyMummy78 · 10/05/2010 19:50

Thanks MrsMeow my DH thought it looked like a tablecloth!

KittyTwoShoes · 10/05/2010 19:56

Do you think it would be sad of me to go to the supermarket (only a 5 minute walk) right now in order to get the mag, seeing as they're selling out? Also you are definitely justified in getting a document holder for tickets and reciepts. Order is such a lovely thing, particularly when contained in frivoulous fab Cath Kidston stuff.

BusyMummy, that dress is sweet! Probably depends on who's wearing it, wouldn't suit everyone. But you can always send it back, right? And it looks nothing like a tablecloth. And even if it did, it would be a very nice tablecloth indeed. There is no need, no need at all, to give tablecloths a bad press.

And now I am going to stop encouraging people to spend money and go in hunt of a magazine. I have succumbed to the pathetic-ness.

MrsMeow · 10/05/2010 20:00

Kitty, don't blame me if you end up with a trolley full of wine and cake as well as the mag!

BusyMummy, they also do it in two other prints as well, not sure if you saw them?

MrsMeow, I got the one you want - still want to swap?

I don't mind! However, I have used it a couple of times but only for packing ds2's suff when he's going to nana's for the afternoon, so only soft dry stuff...

bimbobrown2002 · 10/05/2010 21:27

Busymummy78 the code is ELMG for online purchases, just incase you can't get your hands on a copy of the magazine!

shockers · 10/05/2010 21:54

I got the one you want and really want to be a lovely person and swap... but I like it .

Sorry.

Hope you find one.

KittyTwoShoes · 10/05/2010 22:01

Which one was it that you wanted, the one with the little flowers or the one with the big flowers? They had both when I was there, but I couldn't remember - I bought the one I liked best and figured if you still need one, I can pop back tomorrow and buy you the other one. They had dozens and dozens, so should be okay tomorrow

MaineGirl · 10/05/2010 22:43

i haqve the pop flowers one and wanted the one you got, i am willing to swap if you want?

NoahAndTheWhale · 10/05/2010 22:47
dexter73 · 11/05/2010 08:21

I have the one you want. I'm not bothered about swopping as I won't be using it. Let me know if you want it.

MrsMeow · 11/05/2010 12:20

Oh you lovely lot of people thank you so much for the offers to swap, that's really nice of you

Erm...I'm not sure how to go about it now, I've had so many offers! I appreciate them all, but I think what I'll do is wait and see if secretlemonadedrinker still wants to swap first (if she gets hold of a mag), I hope this is ok? She was the first person to offer.

Kitty, it was the big flowers that I wanted, thank you so much for the offer of going to buy another, but I couldn't let you do that! Glad you managed to find one though

Dexter, that's really lovely of you, thank you. I couldn't be so cheeky though, so would rather do a swap. if you don't want it though, try sticking it on ebay; people are paying crazy prices for them! Madness, why don't they just go out and buy the mag. It's cheaper!
