Yes and yes.

IsBreaLiomFion · 10/05/2010 17:38

Have done on 30oc wash, stuffed with newspaper afterwards not sure why but think it helps to retain shape and avoid shrinking while drying.

BeLove · 10/05/2010 17:55

I tried once, disaster. I think they never properly dried and turned into the stinkyiest (sp?) shoes ever. BE CAREFUL

squashedfrogs · 10/05/2010 17:55

DP washes his and they come out lovely and clean.

Be careful some trainers wash up well in the machine, others smell funny afterwards, must be to do with the glue.

I tend to give shoes a good wipe with a microfibre cloth, trying not to get it too wet. Machine was the laces though if they need it, put them in a pillow case.

OrmRenewed · 10/05/2010 21:00

Yes.

They washed very well.

However I suspect they fucked up the machine

AnyFucker · 10/05/2010 21:04

yep

GetOrfMoiLand · 10/05/2010 21:06

Yes. They come up really well. Shove 'em on top of a radiator for a bit and they come up like new.

I put them in the washin machine with a couple of towels in the (probably misguided) belief that they will stop the shoes from thumping the drum to death.

nicolamumof3 · 10/05/2010 21:10

put the ds' cons in machine at least once a week i put them in with load of washing to stop them clunking about they come up perfect..been doing it for years!
