in light/medium and guess what...? It is too damn light for me and I am in idiot as I should know better - my skin is very pale but in that slightly olivey way and I tan dark if I do real sunshine. I am also not completely British in origin.

I am posting this really for people who are considering this product and thinking it may be too dark for them - go for it, it should be great for you. I wanted something subtle but not this subtle.

Honestly, I've put it on four times on my legs and twice all over and not one iota of a tan. Huffing off back to Boots sometime soon.

Grr - put it on mumsnet for sale?

nickschick · 10/05/2010 16:20

Yeah sell it!!! .

Fel1x · 10/05/2010 16:23

I'll buy it off you!
I accidentally bought the medium/dark dove one and my legs looked like they'd been tango'd after one application. They are normally persil/blue colour!

I would but I've already had four overzealous attempts so would be a bit mean of me to sell it - unless as half-empty .

It is a rather small bottle for 14 squids - 200ml, and you need to use quite a bit.

In the vein of trying to provide helpful info, it is a good moisturiser, dries quickly and doesn't have much of that fake tan smell. Def. better than the Holiday Skin thing I used last year which, inexplicably, rolls into little balls as you rub it on and leaves one feeling rather grotty and grubby.

Oh no! I ummed and ahhed for ages over which shade to buy - I'm sure Boots security were circling me in the end! I went for the darker one, figuring that I'd just mix it with a bit of moisturiser if needed, but it's just the right shade for me. The rest of my body tans ok, but my legs stay blue!

If you buy the darker one, you could just mix it with the lighter one so as not to waste it? Or maybe user the lighter one on your face?
