Denim Jackets are fashionable again, right?

As a 35 year old who hasnt worn a denim jacket since I was about 20, how can I wear one now, without looking ridiculous?

Stats are 5'4, size 10, shoulder length dark hair.

I'm thinking a shorter fitted jacket, right? What colour denim?

minefield. I last wore one maybe only six, seven years ago when they were having their last revival. Pulled mine out but not convinced it can really be worn with jeans. ie double denim.
maybe around the neighbourhood but i wouldn't go out for the night in it!
tbh, haven't seen too many around either.

I wouldn't do double denim - for young trendies I think.

But do like a short fitted denim jacket with dresses/skirts/rolled up chinos.

gorgeous but £££ but does show how to wear it well

I'd try gap/warehouse/oasis etc.

ho hum.
I have a denim jacket, but I dont wear it any longer. I think in the last few years, they have often been worn by people in their early 40s, who are trying to look young and trendy. But maybe that will change if they come back into fashion in a big way.

double denim not a good look, unless you are 18 imo.

Love denim jackets with dresses. These days something a bit more fitted than the boxier type jackets of old would look good though.
