I am in the market for a new hairdryer - any recommendations?

My hair is between shoulder and jaw-length, and only wavy enough to be messy so I blow dry it with a big round brush to make it smooth.

This is a nightmare process because my hair is thick, and my almost 2-year old DS wants to 'help'.
I have also discovered in the last few weeks that my hairdryer is shit. Went to stay with MIL and forgot my dryer, so borrowed hers. Took me half the time and it looked fabulous.
It was a Nicky Clark something or other.

Now before I rush off and buy one, does anyone else have a fab hairdryer that I should be considering?

Babyliss. like thisThe kind they use in hairdressers. They're quite powerful but not fancy. 2 heat settings, 2 speeds and a cool shot. Maybe a little heavy if there is a downside. I'm on my 2nd one but the 1st one lasted 10 years (iIrc) of almost daily use on shoulder to waist length hair.

I heart mine!

I had a fabulous Babyliss one that lasted about 15 years. Replaced like with like and the new one is pants.

Get one with 'ions' or 'ionising' or whatever they call it. I don't know how it works but it makes my thick bushy hair look quite sleek!

I have this one and it's great.
Use it on me and all the dc and it does a great job.

It says it's not available, but I def found Amazon a good place to find a hairdryer. For choice and price.

This my one, had it for a few years and its great www.amazon.co.uk/Nicky-Clarke-NHD033-Kinder4Hair-Dryer/dp/B002AKJQ6W/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=drugstore &qid=1273584219&sr=1-12

Thanks everyone

MsDav - I think that is the one that MIL had.

TheLemur - my hair is thick and prone to bushiness, I am pleased to know that 'ions' will help me!

Roses - I don't think that would cope with my hair unfortunately. It's very very thick!
