A very honest embarrassing confession: I have almost no accessories.

There, I've said it!

My birthday is due soon, so have persuaded all relatives to give me money instead of buying me the usual useless junk stuff I normally get for birthdays, and am planning a bonanza of shopping frenzy!!

so talk to me.

bags, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, belts, what else??

I'm a "regular" dresser, will never consider myself to be a stylish person, usually wear casual and work outfits etc.

So: having an unlimited-ish budget, what would you buy? what's stylish and sparkly but not embarrassing?

Thank you, style divas!!

I would go for a big silver cuff, or lots of silver Indian style bangles.

Tan leather stachel-type bag and tan leather belt as a starter.

A summer-weight scarf ie: silk or light cotton, maybe?

some necklaces
think about colours that you wear and look in places like fat face / white stuff / east/wallis/m&S for nice colourful stuff that adds to plainish clothes

For work I would keep it simple with plainish silver or fake pearls perhaps

Have fun with accessories and don't spend a fortune so you can have loads to choose from/

thnx janeite

ooh, and of course- if someone has links so that I could understand what it is exactly, I would be most grateful

(I know what bangles are, have no idea what a tan leather satchel or summer-weight scarf is )

Lovely scarves here

I have a hankering for a freshwater pearl necklace - probably terribly 'wrong' but I tend to be a bit off-kilter, generally.

This
is lovely irl and a v decent price. I may buy it for myself next weekend.
