I love my Gap long and lean jeans but.....

They're not as snug as I'd like round the arse and thigh area and always look a bit baggy by the end of the day.

I can't go down a size as they won't go round my waist (flabby 3 DC tummy) so where can I find a similar pair of jeans that maybe have a bit of stretch but are just as flattering?

gap jeans don't fit me, they are always too baggy around the hips. uniqlo 3d skinny midrise are good.

I had the same problem, and went for Oasis Scarlet jeans. I think they're really comfy, but they do give, so might still be worth getting a smaller size than you would normally.....

Hope that helps.

I haven't tried uniqlo jeans before so will give them a try.
I'm due a shopping trip soon so will pop in to Oasis too. Thanks for the suggestions.

Try Gap curvy jeans? I also like long and lean and the curvy are similar but much more fitted around the bum.

adriennemole · 07/05/2010 21:37

Ok, thanks will give the curvey one's a go too. I can see this is going to become a mission for me! I think I'm half a size smaller in most shops and not many seem to cater for the small bum/thighs but postnatal belly woman

Are you in London? If you are, you should try Banana Republic.

adriennemole · 07/05/2010 21:45

No I'm in Cambridge (might be an excuse for a trip though ) are they online?

Not online no, but worth a trip.

Just had a look and they say online shopping will be coming to the UK soon. In the mean time might just suggest a weekend away with DH.....

another vote for the curvy jean.

I wear gap long and lean (which gets a bit loose fitting around thighs, but otherwise great) and Gap Curvy, which is a tighter fit.

SuSylvester · 08/05/2010 08:38

curvy were too wide for me on the old waist
their new cut boot cut ( i knwo bear with me) is a great " slob around at w/e" stle jeans imo

buy tight

MarineIguana · 08/05/2010 09:57

Yes always get the tightest you can with Gap as they "relax" a lot. When an assistant first had me squeezing myself into a size too small I thought she was mad, but she was right - they fitted perfectly after a day's wear.

adriennemole · 08/05/2010 10:23

Thinking about it they have got looser over time so I might have another go at squeezing in to another pair a size smaller. Thanks again for the advice.
