PLEASE help me - don't know how to accessorize this dress for wedding at end of May...

Hello wise mumsnetter style and beauty guru type ladies

I have just bought this dress from Coast to wear to a wedding at the end of May.

I bought some purple strappy sandals from M&S and a purple wrap from Accessorize to go with it but it just looks a bit pants so going to take them back.

Any ideas? I can cope with a medium heel and I'm size 10, quite pale with light brown hair.

I have some pink low heel shoes, pink wrap and pink flower I could put in my hair - but would pink look a bit rubbish with black and white? I just don't have a clue...

This is my first opportunity to look vaguely pretty since DS was born a year ago so please help me. Thanks

Why not stick with the black and white theme

Is it bright pink ? Cerise/hot pink type colours would look good, as would other jewel colours (teal, emerald green etc). Mono accessories would be fine and silver/dark grey would look good as well

I thought about that, but do you think that would be ok for a wedding?

I suppose I could get a black or white flower to accessorize the dress, black shoes and a white pashmina. Do you think that would work or is it not the done thing to wear black/white to a wedding?

I think I'd rather have a bit of colour... arrrrghhhhh!!

It's baby pink so I think you're right, not quite right. I like the idea of emerald green or silver/dark grey.

Do you think if I go for a colour it should just be shoes and wrap, or could it be a flower on the dress as well?

Nice white summer shoes & bag, white pashmina but you don't have to go with a black or white flower as something completely different pinned onto your bag (if clutch bag) would be nice
