Hi,
I have a drawer full of rubbish tinted moisturisers, I want something with a bit of a sheen and a little bit of coverage. Can any of you style experts please help me

I'm no expert but I have recently got the Benefit one and I am very happy with it!

aSilverLining · 06/05/2010 10:31

Me! I can add something!
Barbara Daly Facelift, from Tesco. Cheap but gives a really good glow, and a bit of sheen. It's lovely.

lou33 · 06/05/2010 13:12

the benefit one is good, but if you want something cheaper then the botanics range in boots does a nice one

aquavit · 06/05/2010 13:29

Laura Mercier, tis expensive but you don't need much, and it is the business.

pinkbraces · 06/05/2010 15:13

Ive seen a lot of you talk about Laura Mercier think I will give that a try. Will let you know how I get on, thanks

If you are peely-wally, deffo Boots one. Body Shop one is tooooo dark.

brennannbooth · 06/05/2010 15:15

I just got the LM one, seems good so far

DrSpechemin · 06/05/2010 17:22

I use Bobbi Brown which is great - will try the laura mercier one next though as they do an oil free version which should be good for my combi skin

Lizzzombie · 06/05/2010 17:23

I use an Avon one, it has an spf 25 in it too, so its multi purpose.

minipie · 06/05/2010 17:29

I LOVE my Dermalogica one. SPF 15 which is really effective (protected me when skiing). Has a bit of a sheen to it as well. And it doesn't give me spots unlike so many others. 'Tis fab.

My mum tried the Laura Mercier one and didn't like it - I forget why though.

AuntieMaggie · 06/05/2010 21:01

is there one that gives good but light coverage but not too shiney?

and where can i try LM?

Pinkleina · 06/05/2010 21:06

Nivea one is fab - have used it for years - not shiny at all and excellent coverage for a tint

WannabeMakeUpArtist · 06/05/2010 21:09

Laura Mercier fan here too, really good for the summer! She has an online store or can usually be found in Spack NK...

WannabeMakeUpArtist · 06/05/2010 21:09

That was meant to say Space NK!

fustyarse · 06/05/2010 21:25

soap and glory one is good, gives a nice glow

also olay's touch of foundation gives more coverage than mos tinted moisturisers, and whenever I use it I get told I'm 'looking well'

pinkbraces · 06/05/2010 21:28

I like soap and glory stuff so may try that after the LM.

AuntieMaggie · 06/05/2010 21:38

ok which laura mercier one? there are 3...

WannabeMakeUpArtist · 06/05/2010 21:44

It depends on your skin type but the general tinted moisturiser with SPF 20 in should be ok...

amidaiwish · 06/05/2010 21:46

how pale are you?

i am pale with reddish tones/freckles and the only one that is any good for me is the benefit pale one.

AuntieMaggie · 06/05/2010 21:49

i think i'll have to go and get some samples/play with some on sat

pinkbraces · 06/05/2010 23:37

if you want to pop round to mine I have a drawer full

nicefleece · 06/05/2010 23:43

Clarins. Lovely.

AuntieMaggie · 07/05/2010 09:21

where are you pinkbraces?

the true test for me is how it goes on in the morning and how it looks in the afternoon after a day in the office.

my double wear light is great, but i don't want to wear it every day.
