what to wear to a wedding that I can feed under

I'm going to a wedding in June and will hopefully still be breastfeeding my 3 month old baby (who is very sicky - so no silk, me thinks!) We will be there all day and there are no spare rooms so I need a dress that I can feed in. I hate shopping and can't bear the idea of having to trawl round shops looking for something appropriate. Therefore, I am wondering if any of you have had to do the same thing already this year and can steer me in the direction of a particular shop or even a particular dress?! I am currently a size 14 but may need a 16 to accomodate the ridiculously huge boobs that I have developed through feeding (sorry if TMI)!! All ideas welcome..

I've always thought scrummy mummy and bella mama dresses looked good but haven't bought anything from them myself. I tend to wear two-pieces - last wedding I went to, I wore a neutral coloured suit, with a breastfeeding vest underneath a chiffon blouse. Seemed to work well.

have also just remembered that Bara Glad do some nice nursing dresses, like this one on Amazon: www.amazon.co.uk/Bara-Glad-Maternity-Nursing-Strappy/dp/B001GT8GDM

I got a couple of nice nursing dresses.
One from motherwear, once from clevermummy. Some people just use regular wrap dresses and pull the wrap aside for bfing but I never liked having my whole breast exposed, IYKWIM.

phase eight should work well. I have an earlier iteration of this dress and you can get out of it easily.

blue think this is same dress too

I am going to a wedding on sat andhave decided to wear my normal wedding outfit, of a strapless dress and cardie but have decided for the first time ever to use a nursing apron when I feed, that way I get to wear a glam dress without worrying about how to get my norks out discreetly.

hettie · 06/05/2010 09:24

am doing the same and just bought a new top to go with existing glam skirt......the top will be pulled up and i have a cami to go underneath. also a nice wrap/pashmina type thing which will cover most of the action!
But if you're after a dress i did try on a nice maxi one in phase eight- it was turquoise and brown and would be v flattering, material was strechy enough to get boobs out (i checked )
it was this one
but this is nice too

Thank you. I shall investigate these options in the next few days. I knew someone would be able to help me here.

Have a look at some maxi dresses. I wore one to a wedding recently and it was excellent.
