help! have my dress but matching jacket sold out...going to wedding and i'm cluless about colours/style

dear mumsnetters please please help!

i'm going to a wedding next w/end and i never look smart or groomed and i splashed out on this dress with this alice hair accessory

the jacket was not in stock in the shop and customer services have now told me that there is none available anywhere.

what the hell do i do? can i wear a pahmina and what colour?!

Well, I would go (depending on your colouring) to go with the sort of suggestion they gave on the website - navy blue.

With that colour, you could also go for cream, gold or black.

Is your hair accessory green or purple? I fear you might freeze just in a pashmina...

What colour are your shoes? bag?

what colour shoes are you wearing ?? Pashmina would be fine. You can get lime green ones (ebay is pretty good) but it may be safer to get something contrasting. Black, chocolate brown or ivory could all look good (depending on shoes)

that bag will not do either I'm afraid. I know its fendi but its pink and brown pony skin! Neither of which goes with lime green or burgundy. You need stuff that works with the dress, not fights it

Yeah, I wouldn't go for burgundy shoes. Would look wrong - you need a "neutral" instead.

Navy looks fab with lime green - although I also like an aubergine/lime combo.

I'd imagine it'd be easier to find a navy jacket and shoes than a jacket to match the burgundy one iyswim.

I assume you've asked Hobbs to source the jacket nationwide?

The navy / green combo in the jacket pic you linked looks fab. The black Sal Bow or green Medina sandal on the shoe page you linked might be OK if you are sturdy /athletic rather than dainty. It is a lovely dress.
Boden spotty scarf in navy sounds nice, as long as it is a good dark navy.
