Style/colour/make etc. I'm on the lookout and would like some inspiration. Thanks!

Well, I'm back to report that, thanks to traceybath and piprabbit's inspiration, I have now ditched my babychanging bag, dug out a white monsoon accessorize bag from 2yrs ago and filled it with all the essentials...it's got 3 compartments: one for nappy-changing-related stuff, one for snacks and one zipped section ALL FOR ME! Thank you, thank you... it's so liberating to chuck the ugly, boring, bulky, black baby bag!

piprabbit · 04/05/2010 16:03

Hurrah Pinkmarshmallow - glad you're feeling liberated.

AbsOfCroissant · 04/05/2010 16:08

I have a black leather DKNY bag which I love, and which has lots of space for lots of crap very important things

wineismysaviour · 04/05/2010 16:35

TraceyB you are a bad bad person...I am now going to have to spend money otherwise I would feel you would have wasted your time posting for me, and that would be wrong.

thesleepyprincess · 04/05/2010 22:17

Just been back and seen all the replies - thank you and most interesting!

I love the 'Old Bag' bags...but I see that they are not zipped at the top, which is a shame - I must have a secure zip on my bag in case someone pickpockets my baby wipes/ tissues

Mulberry Alexa is divine. Just perfect. No chance as I don't have a spare few hundred quid

There are some lovely bags... such an easy weakness and you need a variety to co-ordinate with outfits!

I've recently got this bag which is lovely and really soft leather, stupidly cheap too and usually a discount code to be found also!

thesleepyprincess · 09/05/2010 18:51

Update...my lovely, lovely DH has bought me...a MULBERRY!! Not a new one, but a style and colour I've admired and coveted for, um, years. This should be my bag for life now

Avad · 09/05/2010 18:59

OK OK, I know it's not a Mulberry or anything ...

I bought this in Monsoon yesterday and am totally head over heels in love with it

Avad · 09/05/2010 18:59
ticktockclock · 09/05/2010 19:03

Avad · 09/05/2010 19:29

Never come across that website before TTC, loving some of the handbags there

thesleepyprincess · 10/05/2010 20:43

Avad your bag is gorgeous. Very very pretty. TTC I prefer the bag you have to the one you want, so in my opinion you made the right choice!

My Precious arrives tomorrow

I have a Balenciaga motorcycle bag. black lambskin, its beautiful. present from dp this xmas just gone for giving birth to our baby daughter earlier last year.

Avad · 11/05/2010 08:12

A "push present"? I thought that was a myth

Bonsoir · 11/05/2010 09:06

I was in Colette yesterday and saw bags by Tila March that I thought were beautiful, really practical (across the body) and weren't all blingy and logoed. Heaven. I want one for my birthday!

lou33 · 11/05/2010 09:36

pink leather guess hobo bag

McDreamy · 11/05/2010 09:40

here's mine

superv1xen · 11/05/2010 10:55

haha, wasn't exactly a "push" present, planned caesarean here

princessmel · 11/05/2010 11:03

A tan leather across the body one. From M+S. Small. Enough room for phone and keys.

It has 3 zipped pockets on the side and silver balls that hang off the zips. Sounds awful..!

Also an across the body Orla Kiely bag used as a change bag. That just goes in the car or under pram. It has the leaf stem print on it.

vinauchocolat · 11/05/2010 11:10

I like the sound of balenciaga push presents

good link, bonsoir

I'm using an old margiela bag (no link) which is so soft.. and also a sesame street canvas bag, love it, and a sissi rossi light tan floppy thing (again no link, sorry)

I've never used a changing bag in my life- just put nappies/wipes/change of clothes into regular handbag. You can also get fold up changing mats which are fab to throw into your regular bag.

joliejolie · 11/05/2010 11:19

I am using the same bag halftermhero !!!

thesleepyprincess · 11/05/2010 17:04

Mulberry arrived. Beautiful. Elegant. Perfect.

And TOO SODDING SMALL.

I am gutted!!!!!!!!!

Luckily seller is lovely and will take it back.

This Cath Kidston messenger bag.

MrsJohnDeere · 11/05/2010 17:56

Same as Ronx but the Britannia design. Not convinced it is a handbag though. I only use when out with dcs because it is big enough to store nappies, bottles of water, toy cars, food etc. It is huuuuuuge.

MrsDinky · 11/05/2010 18:02

Avad I'm with you
