What colour can you suggest?

My son is getting married in August. The bridesmaids are in purple/lilac (not sure on shade), brides mum is in cornflower blue and white. What colour can I wear? I love bright colours really, but am open to suggestions. Thank you!

What colour do you feel the happiest wearing? I wouldn't worry too much about matching but if you don't want to stand out in group photos then maybe choose something that would complement. For example, magenta rather than red, sage green rather than emerald. Either that or go for neutrals which are everywhere at the moment but you said that you love brights.

what size/shape are you and what sort of style do you think you would like - fitted shift dress or long and floaty (or anything in between)?

pink (but not too bright)

or pale blue.

I'm thinking sweetpea colours. But what colouring are you?

Wear whatever you want except white

Ahh thanks. I'm size 16, I've had my style 'done.' so would be better in say fitted to show off my waist but a floaty cardigan on top - I think!! (Thats not my choice for mother of the groom though). I DON'T want mother of the bride stuff though.

My colouring comes out as Autumn - but I prefer summer colours really.

I'd love to wear that dull lime green really, but... not sure if you should wear green to a wedding (bad luck or somehting), or will it all clash?

Dull lime green wouldn't clash.

My bridesmaids were in green (it was called 'lettuce' which is a good description of the colour) and they looked lovely with pale pink flowers. As for bad luck, we're happily married 8 years on...

too blue?

too green?

summery

Any of these remotely on the right lines??

Right, thanks for all your help. I know I'll go shopping and just 'see it.' Will let you know what I buy!

Thanks everyone.

I think the green business is a bit rubbish too, thanks littledawley, I loved your suggestions about magenta, sage etc.
