Navy dress suit - what colour tights?

I'm looking for very "City" type work clothes at the moment and notice there is quite a lot of navy in the shops but if you get a dress suit or skirt suit what colour tights look best with them? I'm not sure about either black or tan (I am white) and I can't see myself looking good bare-legged. What do you think?

Not black, you can get very pale 'tan' tights though.

Or you can go funky and opaque - teal or purple maybe?

I would wear teal but not sure if it would be acceptable for the office.

Will look for more tan options.

Ohhh there was someone on here saying they wore brightly coloured tights in a very conservative city environment. Search it out

Now, y'see, I wouldn't dare wear coloured tights to work..I started a similar thread recently, and was told to go with leggings. I'm not convinced for work.

You can buy blue tights...but tan is obviously better than bare legs. Such a dilemma, especially at this time of year. in winter you could definitely go for black.

fine nude fishnet or very sheer nude tights
teal/purple/charcoal opaques. If conservative office, charcoal will work well.

i am wearing nude fishnets at the moment, but until week before last (when i ditched the opaques) i wore bright fuschia pink with my navy dress.

i work in the City in the most conservative environment you can imagine. no WAY could wear leggings but very bright coloured opaques have been fine throughout winters past.

too summery now for coloured tights, stick with nude fishnets or very fine (5 denier) nude tights.

I didn't even knew nude fishnets existed! I must get out more!
