Fancy a denim skirt - but not a pelmet! Help!

Saw a lovely Stella McCartney denim skirt in the Times style mag yesterday - knee length, button down the front. Googled it and it is out of stock and far too expensive. Anyone seen anything similar on the high street?

do you mean this one? here

try here nearest I could find...or this kew one or red herring

copperjar · 03/05/2010 12:35

You might get away with this if you are short so it doesn't look tarty.

tethersend · 03/05/2010 12:38

Oh, have been looking for something identical to that for a long time... actually got a denim dress from ebay which is very similar- what size are you?

FrancesFarmer · 03/05/2010 12:48

This one by APC? www.coggles.com/store/item/APC/90513

Does it have to be button up?

Sherbert37 · 03/05/2010 13:14

Thanks for all the ideas. Am tall size 14. Will try debenhams I think. Have no skirts ATM as got a puppy last year so not practical for dog walking. Fancy getting the legs out for an airing this summer.

I got a lovely one from OASIS y'day ...this one... www.oasis-stores.com/Stitch-Detail-Knee-Skirt/All-Skirts/oasis/fcp-product/3240057823

Sherbert37 · 04/05/2010 10:28

Really like that Oasis one and looks a good length. Sun's gone in now though...

I bought one from Zara recently. It's a little darker than the Chloe one, but is button through and slightly A-line(military stylee buttons rather than jeans ones) does this link work?. You may have to scroll along a bit to get to the denim skirt.

Also I am sure I saw a Next one in a magazine that was a dead ringer, but couldn't find it on their website.

Well ended up in Monsoon with 3 knee length skirts to choose from. All lovely and I fitted a 12 for the first time for years! Bought a flippy skirt and may go back for the more trad one next month. Also saw one in m&s, Indigo range.

I thought the LInda skirt was part of her H&M range?

I like it, very versatile. OK not very 'sexy' so some people mgiht think it frumpy but a lovely alternative to jeans every day. Nice with boots and tights, or with coloured plimsolls. Really like it.

wineismysaviour · 06/05/2010 16:14

Just found you this one Sherbert!!

here long tall sally

muddleduck · 06/05/2010 16:17

I have the kew one - it is lovely

Jcee · 06/05/2010 16:20

Sherbert37 - Is the M&S indigo one you saw this one?

If so I can recommend it - it's a nice flattering fit and looks great dressed up with boots or down with trainers

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 06/05/2010 16:46

I have this one am a size 16 and it is very flattering good length infact the BEST demin skirt I have ever owned.

tethersendisnigh · 06/05/2010 17:03

wineismysaviour- you are amazing. That skirt is perfect. Have just ordered it.

I posted this exact thread a while ago, and got nowhere, despite helpful suggestions.

You have made me very happy

reikizen · 06/05/2010 17:06

Love the white stuff one but dead expensive (god, I am so cheap!)

wineismysaviour · 06/05/2010 17:26

tethers...I am now brushing the angel dust off my shoulders....

tethersendisnigh · 06/05/2010 17:53

Now if you can just sort out the election result....

wineismysaviour · 06/05/2010 17:59

ahhh, if only my mystic fashion obsession powers reached that far!

Let me know if its gorgeous when it comes...

tethersendisnigh · 06/05/2010 18:08

Will do

Sherbert37 · 07/05/2010 02:47

Jcee - not that one, had a tie belt and was a lighter weight fabric. Do like that one too and the White stuff one. Can see I will have to buy another one...

Anyone see the letter in Sunday Times Style yesterday? It was this question almost exactly.
