Hmm.

I have started wearing foundation occasionally. Makes a huge difference . But don't want to become enslaved to make-up.

SpawnChorus · 03/05/2010 09:59

My Mum was raving about that one the other day.

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 10:00

oh is fun.
i love it.
the concelealer i though wasnt necc if you had foundation btu when i do one side yes and one side unadorned, sheed the bad side is like night of hte dead.

Bonsoir - foundation does make a huge difference - its the one thing I really couldn't live without.

Now I don't use undereye concealer - su - do you have dark circles or just normal?

SpawnChorus · 03/05/2010 10:03

Ah. My Mum had the Touche Eclat-esque one.

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 10:04

no i am what she calls " warm natural " skin colour and dont have genetic dark circles.
tbh am a bit suprised its for very dark ones
she siad that under your eyes can go kind of bluey( or was it purple?) when tired

Someone posted a youtube vid on here of a slightly scary woman putting on concealer in a triangle/wedge shape from the outside corner of the eye to the bottom of her nose.

I use probably 1% of her makeup but the coverage is much better than just putting under the eyes.

traceybath · 03/05/2010 10:06

May have to investigate and add to my list of potential purchases.

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 10:06

yes triangles is good

dh noticed and he never does

I'm not convined by touche Eclat and its ilk but Bobbi Brown tinted eye brightener is the most amazing thing in the world. Unassuming little pot of brown that even and lightens under eye and eye lid.

Amazing-best thing maKE-UP wise I have ever used.

I wear tinted moisturiser and apply with a brush-avoids the foundation death mask ook.

castille · 03/05/2010 10:16

I look half-dead without concealer on my (inherited) dark circles, so have been using it for the past hundred years. It is my only absolute make up essential, I can just about face the postman without anything else.

Haven't used the BB one, but it's on my list for future trials.

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 10:17

its the onyl one i ever had
was lergic to TE and tbh thought it was a bit tippex under eyes

this is so good for dh to comment and hte pupils

OP posts:
castille · 03/05/2010 10:20

TE is useless on me. I have tried dozens, now using Boi-ing which is good but BB is next on my list.

I comment on my own transformations. DH is oblivious

I love BB corrector. Found that nothing else helped , I just looked so knackered all the time. Black mascara, BB corrector under the eyes, BB cream blusher. I'm like you Bonsoir, hate too much makeup.

HandsOffMyDrum · 03/05/2010 12:31

found boing really really dry. Accentuated under eye wrinkles, which was exactly the look I was going for.

SuziKettles · 03/05/2010 13:08

I'm currently using Barbara Daly for Tesco concealer and I'm pretty pleased with it. Good coverage and goes on easily. It's been a while since I bought it since it also lasts for ages, but I think it's around £4.

So, anyone know if the BB is going to make me look £12 better? Which would be a lot better since I currently look about £1.75 before 11am.

OllieWollieWoo · 03/05/2010 14:25

Can I ask an odd concealer type question which I should really know the answer too but don't! Noticed in photos that my nose is slightly redder than the rest of face (which is v pale) - no I am not a lush - think its just had too much sun over the years! Would concealer work on that - or is it just for under the eyes? Don't wear foundation, use minerals make up if going out. Would the BB brown stuff work on noses???(See - I did warn you it was a bit of an odd question!)

SuSylvester · 03/05/2010 15:00

i think youll have to go in store
i think if you get an assitant youa re really honest wiht and say " look i never can be arsed wiht much what is hte basic" then they react well

duckyfuzz · 03/05/2010 15:02

I have just bought a lancome 2 tone concealer/brightener, its fab

CybilLiberty · 03/05/2010 21:31

I cant believe you have never worn concealer around your eyes. Are you like, 12? with zero shadows?

CybilLiberty · 03/05/2010 21:33

Olie YES to concealer on /around nose. Make sure you put it in creases on side of nose, can ne red there

I cant believe you lot and your lack of make up

'oh I've just tried this fab new stuff, makes your cheeks change colour..I think its called blusher'

OllieWollieWoo · 03/05/2010 21:38
