What's the best hair masque?

My hair is seriously dry and damaged now due to colouring/blow drying/age. I've decided to try to use a hair masque once a week to repair some of the damage. But which one? Does anyone have any tips?

Or are they all basically the same thing, and I should just buy the cheapest?

Kerastase do an excellent masque. My hair was seriously straw-like until I started using this product. The instructions say use it for 10 - 15 mins but I follow my hairdresser's instructions and wrap my hair in a warm towel for 30 minutes before rinsing. However, even the 10-15 min treatment makes a huge difference.

I also started using L'Oreal's ReNutrition with Royal Jelly shampoo & conditioner. It's great and leaves my hair feeling luxuriously soft, shiny and swishy inbetween Kerastase treatments

i use the loreal full restore 5, its excellent, wish i could afford the kerastase though!

Thanks for your replies. I will check the price of the Kerastase and see if I can afford it! Can you only buy it in hairdressers or do they sell it in Boots?

here

which one do you use tulpe?

dizzydixies · 02/05/2010 09:56

another site

another one but I haven't tried either so cannot recommend, sorry!

dizzydixies · 02/05/2010 09:58

the second site has more of the masques, I'm pretty sure that was the type I used in the small round tub and I think it was the yellow one! sorry, well out of my budget these days - generally consists of whatever is on special at ASDA!!

Kerastase masques are amazing but hideously expensive. I alternate between their one for coloured hair (pink tub) and an Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner, which when left in for 10 - 30 minutes (I ignore the 3 minute instructions!) is fabulous. Aussie products also smell lovely and are about a tenth of the price!

I second the Aussie products.
