does such a thing exist? used to live in my converse hi tops but they do pinch my little toes if i wear them too long

does anyone make anything similar that might be a bit wider? i was buying rocket dog shoes, but they seem to fall apart really quickly

My DS has wide feet. he has some vans high tops which he says are more comfortable than converse, presumably because they are a bit wider

CiderIUpAndSetIFree · 01/05/2010 13:26

PF Flyers are a bit wider, and not that strange pointy shape that Converse are.

I don't know if Skechers are doing anything in canvas at the moment, but they're usually a good bet for the wider of foot, I've never had an uncomfortable pair!

indigobarbie · 01/05/2010 21:08

oh yeah pf flyers, are a bit wider and very comfy.

keen's

cocolepew · 01/05/2010 21:18

I find the Converse lo tops much wider. I was wearing Hi Tops yesterday and my toes are always sore whereas ther is never a problem in my lo tops.

CiderIUpAndSetIFree · 01/05/2010 21:34

ooh those PF's are lovely StayFrosty

I haven't heard of Keen's - are they nice, they look nice in the pics?

thisisyesterday · 01/05/2010 21:36

Oooh i did look at pf flyers in schuh the other day but didn't have time to try them on, maybe i should go back and give them a go

liking the keen ones too!

It's worth checking TK Maxx for pf flyers as well, I've bought some cheap in there before

letsblowthistacostand · 01/05/2010 22:12

No no, not keen. They look all wide and comfy but it is a LIE. I do ok in converse, find them a little pinchy but wearable but have never tried on a pair of keens that I could squash my fat feet into. They are for small fairy-footed people like DH and DD1. DH wears keens, he's 3 sizes bigger than me, but when I slip my foot in, it hugs my foot at the widest point, iyswim. Which a shoe 3 sizes too big shouldn't do.

Annoying because they are soooo comfy if you can fit into them. DH has 3 pairs.

LetThemEatCake · 01/05/2010 22:22

I have wide feet - can't do converse but Ash are perfect

CiderIUpAndSetIFree · 01/05/2010 22:42

Has anyone tried these Fly ones?

They look nice, if slightly on the pricey side.

thisisyesterday · 01/05/2010 23:11

omg i am so glad i just checked back here! i have some keens in a shopping basket right now! only reason i hadn't clicked confirm was because i was not totally sure about the colour lol

MarineIguana · 02/05/2010 09:41

But I wear my keens all the time and love them! I have wide toes and they work perfectly for me. Might be worth a try - you can always send them back.

chimchar · 02/05/2010 09:51

in was going to suggest vans, but i have very much just fallen head over heels on love with those pf flyer ones!!! never seem them before. think i need a blue pair!

thisisyesterday · 02/05/2010 10:02
