Do grown women with style wear headbands?

I have recently had a short cropped hair do and wondered whether I could get away with a head band a la fat face these days??? Would a 29year old mum in a head band/scarf look odd?

So style jury to head band/scarf or not to head band/scarf?

go for it. i wear scarves sometimes in a retro way and I am much older than 29.
i don't think there is an age limit.

I am currently wearing a black alice band with white spots that has a HUGE bow on it!

That said, I am a primary school teacher and often wear bright colours, big beads/bangles, bows in my hair, funky pumps on my feet as the children in my class love to comment on them and touch them. However, at 28 years old I like to think I am still fairly stylish- this alice band is from Topshop, n'est pas

A very stylish friend of mine often wears headbands - usually thin metal ones or beaded ones with her hair up - she is late 40s and always looks fab - go for it

As long as it's not padded or looks like something from Laura Ashley c1983 it'll be fine
