Working link for you

And yeah it's quite cute

wonderingwondering · 30/04/2010 12:15

I don't like it... is quite 'safe' and I'd be worried I'd spot a 65 year old in it (a common problem with M&S).

AngryPixie · 30/04/2010 12:25

Nope, still looks frumpy to me

niminypiminy · 30/04/2010 13:29

Yeah Wondering sometimes I look at stuff in oasis and think, yes, well it's quite nice but every stupid twentysomething in town will be wearing it. There are beautiful stylish 65-year-olds you know (and I'm not there yet so not talking about myself).

Don't like the cardi myself, too feminine-lacy for me, but think it would look good on someone with the right style.

jalopy · 30/04/2010 13:32

It's perfect if you like wearing doilies.

wonderingwondering · 30/04/2010 14:29

I'm sure it would look OK on any age. And I'm not being disparaging about older women at all. Just that something that's quite classic and in M&S is likely to be worn quite widely. And I wouldn't want to turn up somewhere in the same outfit as my mum (glam though she is...!).

smallishsheep · 30/04/2010 14:34

No no no.
It would make you look like a waitress.
WHy would you voluntarily wear a lace bib??

smallishsheep · 30/04/2010 14:35

Have been a waitress and know of what I speak

Hullygully · 30/04/2010 14:37

doilie ponchoes are going to be big for autumn tho. Looks right on trend.

BendyBob · 30/04/2010 14:39

I think M&S is very frumpy and I guess I must be their target shopper being mid 40's an' all.

That top would look awful on me but maybe on someone half my age maybe it would look more er..retro. I dunno.

janeite · 30/04/2010 18:11

I tried that on last week and thought it was lovely. Might go back and get it - then again, I quite like old fashioned looking things. I would wear it with a full skirt and pumps, or with black capri pants, I think.

mslucy · 30/04/2010 18:14

I've been wearing it today with black skinny jeans and a black leather biker jacket.

Got lots of compliments - even from the 16 year olds I work with.

I wasn't a hundred percent sure about it, but it sort of works.

bit Emma from Glee

janeite · 30/04/2010 18:21

No idea what Emma from Glee is but love the sound of it with a leather jacket. My 15 year old dd1 thinks it's great, as well.

Ronaldinhio · 30/04/2010 18:25

emma btw that isn't necessarily a bad thing

Elemental · 30/04/2010 20:19

Oh I really like it, I got a similar top from them last year and got loads of compliments.

mippy · 30/04/2010 22:42

You know, I saw that today and thought it was rather nice. You could wear it with dark jeans and converse and it wouldn't look at all fusty.
