I've got one of those ones you use in the bath so how long do I use it each day, and how long before I see results... if any?

That doesn'tlook like a body brush- more like a massager.

I do dry body brushing- as and when I remember. Maybe once or twice a week if I can stand the slight ouch factor.

HeadFairy · 28/04/2010 21:00

do you not think it'll do the same job PP? I only went for that one because I thought it would be better to have one I can clean. Do you need the ouch factor to get it to work?

I dont think that one will make a difference. it needs to be bristle brush, if you use it dry you wont need to clean it

HeadFairy · 28/04/2010 21:04

Oh, ok cyb thanks. I'll get one. So how long do you need to use it and do you do it every day?

I did it probably once or twice a week before a shower (skin too soft and damp afterwards)

ATM I'm using one of those shredded wheat mitts and body oil to exfoliate, but not to get rid of cellulite-is that why you want to body brush?

HeadFairy · 28/04/2010 21:18

yeah, I have shocking cellulite and I know it won't go but I reckon I can improve it's appearance.

stop eating bread and sugar. HAs made big difference to mine

HeadFairy · 28/04/2010 21:44

I'm already low carbing.. only sugar I get is from fruit, not eating any other. I sneak the odd slice of bread but other than that I'm not having wheat. Mine is really severe so I thought I might need a bit of physical intervention too.

I do it, with dry bristle bath brush. You have to brush towards the heart and clockwise over abdomen. It really works, gives you great skin and takes away all teh slightly hard skin areas such as knees and toes, a couple of months will show really good results. Also it feels like exercise.

HeadFairy · 28/04/2010 21:50

thanks higgle... do you do it every day? I guess i need to by one of those bristle brushes don't I?

I've got a dry bristle brush from the body shop, brush for a couple of mins before shower when I remember, don't know about getting rid of cellulite but it definately makes your skin miles better and gives you a lovely tingly feeling!

lovingthesun · 29/04/2010 21:08

I've had one of these from the body shop for years.

It's really important to use long strokes towards the heart. Only use it when your skin is dry or else it will drag. You should see flakes of dry skin when you brush !

I'm not sure it made a difference to my cellulite, the only way I notice a difference is by losing weight (all my weight is on my thighs)

Agree it makes you feel refreshed afterwards (will look out for my brush tomorrow morning)
