Help!

After spending all winter in leggings with jumper dresses & boots I desperately need help with my Spring/Summer' look.

I love skinny jeans on others, but am not convinced they look that great on me...I'm 5'3, size 14, hour glass-ish shape with quite chubby legs (all the way to my cankles )

I'm OK buying tops to cover bumps & bulges but never seem to have anything for my bottom half.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

TBH I've seen bigger ladies in skinny jeans and a long top, and they look gorgeous. I think it depends what you put them with

Have you tried straight leg jeans? I have a pair of these and they're slim enough to tuck into boots, but look just as nice with ankle boots or sandals.

Or linen trousers? I sound like a stuck record raving about them, but I really like the pair I've just bought from Next.

Not saying that I think you're big by the way, just realised how that sounded

I should have said ladies who are bigger than you ie: my friend who is a size 18 and looks better than me (14) in skinny jeans! (bitch )

The best jeans i have are not your daughters jeans[horrible name but not mum!jeans].I have butterwash dark denim slimfit ones. They are slim enough to be ok but not skintight enough to accentuate chubby legs. They are also high-waisted to hold tummy in.I have also got M&S Indigo skinny jeans which look good on apart from the roll of tummy flab above which has to be disguised.Boden jeans are also meant to be good but i havn't tried them.I think for your shape [which is the same as mine!]you need to aim for skinnyfit but not too skinny so you are a balanced shape. Also flowing linen trousers will look good but i'm not so sure about cropped ones.I always wear a heel-i even have wedgie flipflops and wedge wellies so I look taller.I have tried M&S tummy control vest in desperation but it ends up as a bandeau bra after 30 minutes .Hope this helps and I will watch this thread with interest for more suggestions.
